Geocache Description:

From Milton, go North on HWY 87 to CR 191, across street from Milton High School. Travel 11.7 miles North on CR 191 to Red Rock Road, located next to a church. Travel 3.6 miles on Red Rock Road to the trail head (N30 47.109/W086 53.201). The cache is located along the Juniper Creek trail. The entire roundtrip will cover approx. 2 miles. The terrain is generally flat with some rolling hills. The cache is in a high and dry location.

On the evening of 27 September 2003, a KM-31 spy satellite of the former Soviet Union was photographing military installations within the United States. The failure of an on-board gyroscope caused the device to re-enter the atmosphere over Southern California. As the satellite blazed a fiery trail across the night sky, North American Defense Command (NORAD) radar tracked the object as it broke up over Northwest Florida. Most of the KM-31 was destroyed on re-entry. However, NORAD believes that the titanium encased sensor pod survived and may have impacted near Munson, Florida. Your mission is to assemble a Foreign Technology Recovery Team (F.T.R.T.) to locate the missing KM-31 (CODENAME: FALLEN ANGEL) and retrieve its contents. It's last know coordinates are posted at the top of this secret transmittal. Once you locate the sensor pod, a 1 1/2' long green cylinder with a black nosecone, the following procedure must be followed to retrieve the contents:

1) Carefully UNSCREW the black nose cone assembly.
2) Log the find.
3) Re-assemble and replace for the next F.T.R.T. team.

Be advised that there may be Soviet agents or Spetznatz (Special Operations) units in the area trying to recover this sensor pod and it's highly sensitive contents. They may be disguised as hunters, hikers or geocachers!

Happy hunting and good luck,
Agent Mulder

P.S. The original container was partially destroyed by a controlled forestry burn. It is located next to the new container placed 1/11/09. The old container still holds a log book and swag.
