flossmoor: It is with deep regret that I make the final decision to archive this cache.
First, I want to thank Carla from Lost N Looking for recovering the final cache in my absence, before the unsavory element which ultimately killed GCH0GG could get to it in retribution. Lost N Looking was the third to complete the course, and the first (one of only two) to complete the entire course with no additional hints from me.
Second, I want to thank MRH - Terre Haute for accepting my initial request to manage the cache in my absence. There was a significant outcry from those who had survived... um, completed the cache: each of them has a story, and each story usually involves invoking bodily harm upon me. He has worked the route (successfully) more times than anyone else, which made him the ideal... no, the one person I would consider to manage, if not inherit, GCH0GG. I wish we could have kept this open long enough for Tigerpoo to make it to the final cache, but I know enough about what she has already worked that I will award her a technical find, if she wishes to accept it.
Third, thank you to all (but one) who put in the time and effort to work the cache, walk the course, solve the puzzles, and... well, not invoke bodily harm. The challenge to so much as begin the course which gained such notoriety was something few accepted. I know of several of you who worked small portions of the course. I wish I could offer you something for your efforts. At the very least, I can give you my heartfelt thanks.
I will try to post the original course instructions as well as solutions in the near future, for all who are interested to read.
Most of you are already aware of the unctuous element which has been ravaging area caches. He focused on mine for quite some time (primarily due to envy of location and containers used), and has continued to do so (as well as, apparently, at least one other cacher) even for the two months since I left the area due to a family emergency.
His find has been revoked from this cache, as well as several others. This kind of activity is being monitored at the local and regional level, and will not be tolerated. Disrespecting me and my work, even after I have handed the management of my caches to others, is no big deal to me: if it was, I could have been equally petty and done the same back to his own caches, as early as November of last year when this individual had already make himself a prime suspect. This is not how I operate. Instead, I've delete his logs, for I will NOT allow a person to maintain finds on my caches when they repeatedly and willfully disrespect others who spend their limited free time seeking caches which no longer exist due to his own pettiness and personal greed.
And, at least, deleted logs means some of the time HE spent searching for caches has now been wasted, for a change.
Admin: please archive this cache.
