Geocache Description:

Regular-sized ammo can located in the Al Sabo Land Preserve, managed by the City of Kalamazoo.

Al Sabo is a great place for caching. It is so large and has so many interesting trails- some paved, some not. The difficulty rating for this one will depend on where you start from. The stated rating is based on the middle option in driving directions below.

There are three possible starting points for this cache (the first is the farthest but most preferable):

Driving directions: From US-131 South take the Centre St. Exit and go West on Centre. Centre becomes Q ave. Continue on Q until you reach the 4-way stop at Texas Corners (8th St. and Q Ave). Go North on 8th St. for 0.1 miles and turn right (East) on Texas Drive. The parking area is on the left just past Camp Rota-Kiwan (Boy Scout Camp). N 42° 12.729' / W 85° 40.433'
Driving directions: From I-94 get off at the 9th St. exit and go South. After 9th St. curves to the right and becomes O Ave, turn left and park in the KVCC parking lot at N 42° 13.731' / W 85° 40.745'. The park entrance is back where 9th St. turns into O Ave. on the SouthEast corner of the intersection.
Driving directions: From US-131 South take the Centre St. Exit and go West on Centre. Take a right (North) onto 12th street. Follow 12th to Hickory Hill Lane and turn left. Enter the park at N 42° 14.241' / W 85° 39.207'
