Geocache Description:

I watched this extension of Blair Stone Road being built from the time the first trees were cut until it's completion.

Cache is 6 clear plastic, pencil-sized tubes. Each contain a rolled-up cache description. Use the back of the description for the log. You may find one or more. You only need to find one tube to claim this cache. The others are to protect against containers going missing and to make this more of a "project" for those who want to search. You will need to bring a pencil to write down your log. You will need to use a pencil or key to remove the paper from the tubes. All containers are in the same area and in similar hiding spots.

You can bike (as I prefer) or park nearby and walk to the cache. Be very mindful of traffic. Park on the NW side of the bridge. There is a short, paved, dead-end road. This is the future entrance to the new park that is planned for the land on the north-east side of the bridge. If you are coming off of Mahan Dr., the parking area is on the right as you approach the bridge. If you are coming off of Park Ave., the parking area is on the left just as you cross the bridge.

You will need to park and then walk across the bridge (using the pedestrian walk-way). It is about a half-mile walk from the parking area to the cache. Walk down under the bridge to get to the cache. If you try to walk straight to the cache, you will have to cross a very deep ditch. Be careful as you search, if you walk to close to the edge, you may become a victim of the Blair (Stone) Ditch! There is a wooden foot bridge nearby that may be visible if the brush has been cleared.
