Wentworth Wanders #1 is a short walk along a public footpath with good views to the South/West located close to the village of Nether Haugh on the Wentworth Estate. Nearest parking to the cache is available at N53 27.995 W1 22.395 but please park thoughtfully at the lane end so residents can get by and field entrances are not obstructed.
The cache is located very close to the Mausoleum … one of the Wentworth Estate follies/monuments listed on the above Wentworth website. The Mausoleum is visible through the trees from the cache location but a walk of another 100yds along the path from the cache gives better views over the fence and between the trees.
Please note that the Mausoleum is not accessible from the cache location side and attempts to explore should not be undertaken. The Mausoleum is only open to the public on Sunday afternoons between 2-5pm between Spring Bank Holiday and August Bank Holiday. If you are visiting at a time when it is open, access can be gained from N53 28.235 W1 22.572 not far from the above parking spot)
