Terrain of this multicache is pretty easy. The only real walking is in the 4th (final) stage. There you will find the cache. This does require some driving. PLEASE, check yourselves and four legged friends for TICKS!!!
This multicache is called "Getting To Know Amesbury" for obvious reasons. This is my first cache and I would like to do some others in the area soon. Hopefully you will gain some history of the town and discover some fun spots. Stage 1: George Washington reviewed the Militia on this Training Field. Add the last two numbers in the year that Washington was here to the last three digits in the N and W coordinates; N 42 51.196' W070 55.897'. This is where you will view the answer to the next clue. Look on the back of the large sign for the general area of Stage 2. Drive to #15 on the sign and park near there. Stage 2 Coordinates: N 42 51._ _ _ W070 55._ _ _ Stage 2: This man Josiah Bartlett died in my town. How many years did he live? Subtract this number from the last three numbers in the N and W coordinates to find the next clue.N 42 51.241' W070 56.407. This is where you will find the answer to the next clue.Stage 3 Coordinates: N 42 51._ _ _ W070 56._ _ _ Stage 3: The structure before you in this nice Amesbury park holds the answer to the final question. How many pillars are supporting the roof? Multiply this number by 3. Add the answer to the numbers in parentheses in these coordinates to find the cache. While you're in the area, why not do Ritchcot's "Brown Hill Braid".Also, please check yourself for ticks as they have been abundant in this area. Recently my two sons and I removed over 30 ticks between the three of us. If you bring your dog check them also.
