Above the 'Sky Traditional Cache
outta here: Well, the area is open, but the last bit of trail is completely gone. Rather than encouraging folks to bushwhack the last bit through the recovering hillside, I'm archiving this one.

**I have moved the cache to eliminate the bushwhack.**
From where I park, it is about 2 miles and 620 vertical feet to the cache. The trail starts out as a dirt road, but ends up as an overgrown "footpath."
The approach to the cache hasn't changed, but I've pulled it considerably closer to an unambiguous trail :-). The good news is that there should be no more "where did the trail go?" The bad news is that the view and location aren't nearly as nice.
If you don't mind hunting for the trail, push on to the original cache location (N 33° 01.303 W 117° 00.314) There's nothing there now but a nice place to sit and eat your lunch, but it is a nice view. (be aware that lots of folks have run into ticks on the way)
The cache is an ammo box covered with a large (fairly heavy) rock. I've stocked it with stuff from the GeoCaching.com store as well as other goodies. There isn't a lot of kid stuff in the cache, but you probably want to leave the kids at home on this one anyway.
Don't worry if you find yourself walking away from the cache as you try to get to it. The spoiler includes trailhead information. There may be other approaches that are easier/harder. If you find another way in, let me know.
Don't forget to bring plenty of water.
