Geocache Description:

In honor of Team Happyspider Jr.'s love for trains, we have placed a railroad theme cache in his favorite place in the whole world.

* NOTE NOTE NOTE * Cache was relocated 12/1/07 due to nearby construction!

Special thanks goes to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum for permission to place this cache. Please come by and see a marvelous collection of railroad rolling stock and take a ride on a real steam locomotive on a three-mile trip through the 900'+ Missionary Ridge tunnel and watch as the locomotive gets on the turntable for the three mile return trip! The volunteers of the TVRM would love to share their enthusiasm of railroading with you and your family...consider getting a family membership (as we have) and coming to ride #610! See Southern 4501 (seen in the movie 'October Sky', 'Fled' and more), Southern 630 and many other steam, diesel and other railroad hardware. Visit them at www.tvrail.com.

This is a theme only cache, please do not take any items if you do not have a railroad item to leave, but feel free to sign the log and gain a smiley. Junior Spider donated a lot of the items in the cache and we have started the cache out right, in a standard size ammobox.

Please see the www.tvrail.com website for Museum and trainyard hours. Special permission has been granted to visit the cache site if outside the normal hours of operation, so please don't abuse the privilege by going where you shouldn't be going!

As a thank you to the TVRM for allowing us Geocachers unprecedented access, the cache will soon contain a bunch of 35mm containers with a small plastic bag in each one, please take one on your way out and fill it with any trash you might find in the picnic area and deposit it in a trash container. Use the 35mm container as a micro cache elsewhere!

To quote Bill Peet in 'The Caboose who got Loose'..."The engine up front always wore a big smile..." Come when open and ride the train!
