Even though the house is gone it’s still a beautiful place to visit and not many people go there. So enjoy it now before the City develops it and the crowds show up.
I'm intrigued by the history of the property. It was once known as Rattlesnake Hill until 1950 when Hyman Myers moved in and began raising cattle which chased away the snakes. There was once a house older than the Myers house somewhere on the property and remains of a tree lined driveway can still be seen in aerial photography. A lot of old brick and concrete is near the location of the cache, could this be the remains of it?

Who lived there in the past? What happened to them? Do their ghosts still roam the grounds? If you want to find out more, here are two Tallahassee Democrat articles by Gerald Ensley.
