Geocache Description:

Easy walk off a seasonal road

I was heading to one of the state gamelands in NY when I got lost and stumbled onto this area. Don't know what it is but it appears to be some trails being constructed by a Cornell University project. There are two ways into this area but the way I came in I came to a gate that was closed and parked in a little off shoot of the road and walked to where I placed the cache. The sign on the gate said that this gate was closed but the North gate ( I think it said North gate) was opened thru hunting season. If you come in that way you will be able to drive within 50 feet of the cache spot but there is no where to turn around unless you have 4 wheel drive so you would probably want to park and walk in. If anyone comes in that way give us the details. It is really neat in here and I ran across an old cemetery in here as well. I didn't explore to much as it was really foggy and raining very hard. The name of the cache will probably be enough of a hint.

Please note that where the cache is hidden you will only need to move ground cover to locate the cache. It is not hidden where you will have to disturb any part of the structure it is placed by. I hid it very well so you won't be able to spot it without moving some leaves and such.

If anyone knows what they are doing here let us know. I hope you enjoy this cache and I don't think I could find my way back to it without my GPS! I explored some pretty rough seasonal roads today and almost got stuck twice.(The actual road to the cache is fine) I didn't put to much stuff in here as I planned to stop along the way and pick up some extras but then I got lost. Happy Geocaching!
