Port Mann Travel Bug Exchange Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Wet Coast Explorers: It looks as though the cache has been plundered. A note was left in a spice jar stating "all your cache are belong to us! Cache Rogues!" along with a trio of caricatures. The note was in a spice jar and hidden in the same spot as the original cache leading me to believe that it was plundered by another cacher(s). I'll notify the owners of the TBs that were in the cache letting them know - hopefully the TBs will show up in other caches, but who knows.

Geocache Description:

The purpose of this cache is to help Travel Bugs (TBs) along in accordance with their goals. It's a place to exchange TBs when you know that you can help one out, or to drop off TBs when you need to get them off your hands quick.

Port Mann BridgeIf you are new to TBs please read the Track Travel Bugs page and the Travel Bugs: How To page. If you've still got questions, check out the Travel Bug Forum.

Protocol for this cache:

  1. This cache is for TBs only. Please do not leave other items for trade. There will be no "usual" cache treasures to trade in this cache. There will be the usual "If you find this" note, logbook, pens, and pencil.

  2. You are welcome to sign the logbook and log a find on the cache even if you are not swapping TBs.

  3. Log your first visit to the exchange as a "Found" and any subsequent visits to drop off and pick up other TBs as a "Note."

  4. This is a TB Exchange, so you must leave a TB when you pick up a TB. You can exchange as many TBs as you like as long as you drop off as many TBs as you take. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE A TRAVEL BUG FROM THE CACHE UNLESS YOU HAVE ONE OR MORE TRAVEL BUGS WITH WHICH TO REPLACE IT! (Revised Feb 5, 2004 - NOTE: If you have previously left at least one TB with this cache and wish to help out one or more TBs that appear stuck here, feel free as long as there are four or more TBs left in the cache when you leave.)

  5. All TBs must register in the logbook upon entering the cache. When you leave a TB, write its goal in the logbook so that people can decide which TB to take.

  6. Only take a TB if you can place it somewhere in the RIGHT DIRECTION within a week or two!

  7. Log TBs online as soon as possible after visiting the cache, for both TBs left and taken.

  8. Please rehide the cache well.

Now, how to find it...

  1. From N49° 13.558 W122° 49.047 count the total number of support pairs between where you are at and the end of the bridge in a WNW direction. Let this number be X.

  2. From N49° 13.434 W122° 49.004 determine the day of the month that this park was dedicated. Let this number be D.

  3. Using the waypoint in step 1, add (23*X + 4) / 1000 minutes to the longitude and subtract (9*D - 1) / 1000 minutes from the latitude.
