By all three - but safely apart. In Sykesville, Maryland (almost).
This cache is close to a river, road and railroad. However, the sidewalk is a dedicated pedestrian walkway, separated from traffic, and it is "well-guarded".
Sykesville is a small town, going quaint, along the South Branch of the Patapsco River. The Old Main Line route of the B&O Railroad passes along the river and through town. This rail line is still active but with freight trains only. Sykesville has two popular restaurants - one in the former train station, and a dozen or so shops and businesses.
There are free parking lots in town and a gravel parking lot on the Howard County side of the river.
