This cache is a definate 4.5 - 5 on terrain during the winter (more below). The cache is in a rubber container with a white lid. Contents: Logbook and pen, cd's, mini recordable cd-r, glow in the dark paint and more....
As stated above this cache is a difficult one in late fall,winter and spring. If you are looking for a challenge in the winter grab some cramp-ons and give it a shot, the area in which it is placed is not far from the road. The elevation change from the road to the cache is about 250-200 ft, the snow will more than likely be deep and slippery in this area. The cache is located on the edge of a cliff-like drop off. A stone pillar has been placed to make finding it easier in the snow cover. Give it a shot, but be carefull!!!
Summer cachers: This cache is in a steep area, but much much easier when the ground is not slippery....
Park at the enterence to the Stokes Outdoor center trail.
