Mini Arboretum Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

FrancisScottKey: Unfortunately the owner did not respond to the previous note so this is being archived. Should the owner decide to repair/replace this and have it unarchived, it can be done as long as it still conforms to the guidelines.

If EnB608 is still interested in this hide they are welcome to now hide a new cache in this area. Enough time has been allowed for the CO to respond.

Geocache Description:

A Micro cache planted in an suburban oasis. Enjoy the arboretum, pond and short trails. Good for kids and those with limited time.

We discovered the relatively new (1999) Mt. Washington Mini Arboretum by accident while planting our new "Be Prepared" cache nearby. The site even have its own web site: (visit link) This arboretum had its origins in Hurricane David in 1979 which severely flooded the apartment complex at the site. After tearing down the apartments and many years of disuse, it finally has a mandate. It is community run and always looking for volunteers. It must be great in the warmer months judging by the photos on the web site. We'll have to go back in the Spring. Even now though (November), it is refreshing to take a walk through and sit in the chair by the pond or river and enjoy the view and silence.

The cache has no writing implement as of now-we will try to put one in soon.
