This cache is located along a very popular urban trail in downtown Portland that has seen a number of caches come and go over the last couple years. It is unfortunate, but caches never seem to last very long in such busy urban settings. So we thought we would try hiding one again and hopefully we have found a spot that will be slightly more plunder resistant. The secret, of course, is for everyone to be stealthy in their search activities! To help out we will make it easy so you don’t have to pretend you “lost” something while dozens of people stroll by!
There are parking options closer but we recommend parking downtown on the westside of the river. Start your hike from Tom McCall Waterfront Park then walk over either the Steel or Hawthorne bridges and then loop back on the other bridge. Once you are close to the coordinates the following clues should help you narrow down the possible hiding spots:
Public Art is wonderful.
Artists often sign their work.
Magnets are very useful devices.
What’s in a name?
