Geocache Description:

It's no East Egg, but Greenwich Point Park/Tod's Point is one of the nicest parks along the Sound. Unfortunately, it's also one of the most exclusive. For all intents and purposes, this is a seasonal cache, available from November through March. Otherwise, you'll need Jay Gatsby's money to get in.

Greenwich Point is open daily from 6:00 am until sunset. Unless you are a resident of Greenwich (or a guest of one), it is strongly recommended that you visit this cache sometime before May 1, 2016 or after October 31, 2016 when there are no admission or parking fees charged. Otherwise, if you go during the high season, you will face some steep fees. Non-resident day park passes for Greenwich Point are $6 per person and day parking passes are $25. Children under 5 years old and oldsters 65 and older are free, however. Note that only the parking pass is required before 7:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. fwiw. If you go during the high season, passes for Greenwich Point are sold at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center as well as at Town Hall. For more information, call the Beach Card Office at (203) 622-7817, or visit the Town of Greenwich's website (http://www.greenwichct.org) or, better yet, just click here. Please note that leashed dogs are only allowed from December 1 through March 31.

This is a theme cache. The theme is "strike it rich" so, come summer, you (les nouveaux riches) can put on your white bucks, your Brooks Brothers seersucker jacket and silk cravat and drive out with Jay and Jordan to Tod's Point in the Bentley to escape the hoi polloi. With that goal in mind, this cache (a sandwich-sized Lock N Lock container) is currently stocked with scratch and win lottery tickets. If you take one, good luck but replace it with a similar lottery ticket. Other instruments that offer a minimal investment with the probability (no matter how remote) of a windfall return are welcome. So bring your casino chips, junk bonds, mortgage-backed credit swaps and penny (and/or internet start-up company) stock certificates. Georged Bills are always welcome as are Travel Bugs, other travellers and 'cacher's signature items. Otherwise, no tradeables, please.

The cache is just off the trail but situational awareness is required since you may be visible to pedestrians and motorists. Please be sure to resecure the lid and rehide the cache so it is not visible! There is bark nearby which can be used to conceal the cache.
