Bamboozled Reincarnated...Again! Traditional Cache
Yorky Lovers: All good things must come to an end. We have just gotten too busy to maintain our caches and are taking them down as we can get to them. We were in the area and pulled this cache today. Our other caches will be transferred or taken down shortly. Thanks to our friends for allowing us to use their property for so long.

7/19/07 UPDATE - AREA CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE, ACCESS PERMISSION
HAS BEEN RENEWED AND THE CACHE HAS BEEN REACTIVATED! THIS CACHE HAS
MORE LIVES THAN A CAT! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE
ATTEMPTING THIS CACHE! This cache is located on private property
(permission received from owners) directly off US 1 in Grant, FL.
Parking is allowed by a GEO sign at the NE corner of the pavement,
near the cache location. Please do not leave the immediate cache
vicinity but do watch your footing, as the area gets a bit wet and
slippery at times. NOTE: By agreement with the owners, THE CACHE IS
AVAILABLE 7 DAYS A WEEK BUT DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY - NO NIGHT
CACHING ALLOWED! You’re looking for a small sized (1.5” x 8.5”),
well-hidden regular tube cache container, similar to the original
BAMBOOZLED. GPS’s get poor reception in this area due to the canopy
and power lines, so the posted coords will lead you to a GEO sign
just off the NE corner of pavement, near which you are free to
park. If you stand at the sign and face north, you will see a stand
of bamboo (there may or may not be a path to it depending on the
amount of growth). The cache container can be found in the bamboo.
You do not need to leave the path to retrieve it and minor
bushwacking may be required, but the container won’t be visible
from the sign. The cache contains a log and some small trade items.
Kindly replace the cache container exactly as found, and as always,
Please don't leave any spoilers or clues in the logs. FTF prize is
a Space Station pin. Thanks and Good Luck! PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE
GHOST FROGS, the Guardians of the Bamboo, our official Geocache
mascots. They survived the hurricanes and have set up bamboo condos
in several areas. Their job is to eat all the local Carpenter ants
(although they’re apparently not very good at it). NOTES: 7/4/04 -
THE PREVIOUS CONTAINER WAS JUST TOO HARD TO KEEP MAINTAINING, BUT
THE LOCATION WAS TOO GOOD TO LET GO, SO WE'VE CHANGED THE CONTAINER
TYPE AND LOCATION SLIGHTLY. 9/11/04 – THE REPLACEMENT CONTAINER (A
SMALL TREE FROG) WE THOUGHT WAS PERMANENTLY RELOCATED BY HURRICANE
FRANCIS (IT WAS RECENTLY LOCATED AND RETURNED TO US) SO WE DECIDED
TO SORT OF GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL CONCEPT, BUT BETTER ENGINEERED,
NEAR THE ORIGINAL CACHE SITE. HOPEFULLY, NO ONE WILL FIND THIS
VERSION JUST LAYING OUT IN THE OPEN! TO THOSE OF YOU WHO FOUND THE
PREVIOUS CONTAINERS, THANK YOU, AND FEEL FREE TO LOG THE NEW
CONTAINER. TO THOSE OF YOU WHO MISSED THE OLD CONTAINERS, SORRY,
WE’RE TOLD THEY WERE FUN, HOPEFULLY THIS ONE WILL BE AS WELL. While
your here, visit the Grant Historical House across the street and
try your hand at finding Marini1's nifty little micro there.
