Då det inte syns några tecken på att du gjort det kommer jag nu att arkivera din cache. History:
S/S Herbert is a steam-powered tow-boat built 1905 at Eriksbergs Mekaniska Verkstad in Göteborg. Herbert was built for Strands Steam saw-mill in Stora Le. The saw-mill was shut down already 1907 and Herbert was sold to Lennartsfors Pulp-mill. Her main task was to tow timber on the channel of Dalsland, but she also towed barges. She was stationed at Lennartsfors Mill between 1914 -1946. 1965 she was bought by Valdemar Ek, also from Lennartsfors, and was used for the same tasks as earlier. From 1965 there were no more assignments for Herbert so she ended up on land. After that she was sold for a couple of times and was both in the water and on land again. 1985 the Steam Boat Society of lake Mjörn in Alingsås discovered Herbert and saved her in the last second, after years of degeneration on land. They repaired her to what she looks like today and if you are interested you can in summertime join her for a ride on lake Mjörn.
