Geocache Description:

Andy Cove Nature Trail is a one way .7 mile loop with interpretive stations, boardwalks, a swinging bridge, Andy Cove Branch, a short hike through the forest and 4 caches.

Directions:
From the intersection of highway 64 and 276 in Pisgah Forest, take highway 276 East into Pisgah National Forest. Follow 276 approximately 2 miles and turn right to the ranger station and welcome center. Andy Cove Nature Trail trailhead starts behind the welcome station. The parking coordinates are N 35 17.110 W 82 43.603.

The cache is approximately 80 feet up hill of the trail. If you are standing on the top step it is almost due east. The cache container is a "larger" plastic pill bottle, wrapped in black electrical tape. It is placed in a hole at the base of a living tree and is covered with sticks, twigs and leaves. The coordinates weren’t too bad but will deteriorate when the trees get their new leaves. We have included a few pictures to ensure success and please don’t hesitate to view them.
