Seeing how wonderful the caching community here is, Santa enlisted my help to place a cache for them.
The initial result was a large cache filled with wrapped presents and cards.
Since then, as the cache got somewhat depleted, the cache has been changed to an ammo can with more standard trade items. However, consider still wrapping your trade item, putting what it is in the log, and leaving a hint on the wrapped item about what is inside! Also consider leaving your own holiday greeting card in the cache!
Note that as an extra bonus, Jim-Eye’s Murdock Trail Cache is very close by. If you haven’t found that one yet, it is a neat cache and well worth the effort to find it!
The cache is off of a gravel/dirt trail and a pretty short walk if you park in the right place. For a longer (about 2 mile) hike, you can park in Mahoney Park. If it is wet, the trail might be muddy. The area is closed after dark. You are looking for a .50 cal green ammo can.
