Scenic hike with beautiful views of canyons, mountains, Canyon Lake, Four Peaks and rock formations. Park at the electric tower #174 between mile posts 207 and 208 on SR88 near Canyon Lake.
This scenic hike is approximately .4M up the Canyon Overlook Trail that looks out at First Water Creek Canyon, with wonderful views including Canyon Lake and Four Peaks. The trail is not well-defined all the way so enjoy using your pathfinding and navigation skills. You might want to set a few waypoints along the way to mark your way back. The cache is in an ammo box with a lot of swag inside. The name of the cache is derived from the names of our young Christmas visitors, JR and Rachel, who participated in this event while visiting from Colorado. Take a lunch or snack and your camera and enjoy the views!
