Find a Job at City Hall Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mannings: A fence was going up around City Hall, including the sidewak, so we nipped inside to grab the cache. City Hall is undergoing extensive renovations, and will be closed for several years. Thanks for all who visited this cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located near Pasadena City Hall - a wonderful example of California Mediterranean architecture. It is the central and dominant building in a complex of civic and cultural buildings built in the 1920s. The area stretches to the Library in the north and to the Civic Auditorium to the south. To the west are the YM/YWCAs. The YW was designed by Julia Morgan, who also designed Hearst Castle. Some of the area has been spoiled by some unfortunate 1960s expansions, but most of the buildings are still there and worth seeing. Until fairly recently there was a large, ugly mall separating the Civic Center from the rest of the city buildings, but that now been replaced with an open air mall.

Across the street from the cache site you should see two large statues. Go visit them out - they honor Pasadena's most famous athletes. Shamefully, these two talented brothers were ignored by the city for many years.

The best time to find this cache is during non business hours. At that time you should be able to drive right up to it. The cache is a hide-a-key It is log only. Please make note of where it was, so you can put it back correctly.
