Geocache Description:

Update 2015-05-05: The "cache and dash" is now "no parking". Alternate parking area at 41º17.781 81º32.910 but it's the same 1/2 mile, and includes one hump up and over Highland Rd. Thanks to TyroneShoelaces for reporting the new no parking signs.
Restored after drying out again 2014-08-28.
Restored after maintenance 2011-12-16.

On private property near a rails-to-trails path owned by Ohio Edison.

This cache is in a grove
of a very special kind of tree
All on one trunk, this tree will sport
leaves with special shapings three
And far beneath
deep underground
The makings of a
special drink are found.

For the best adventure, about a 4 mile round trip, park at Brandywine Falls and do the virtual cache there, then hike down the gorge and along Brandywine Creek to the ski area, then up out of the valley within the National Park to the bike & hike path, returning via the bike path to Brandywine Falls parking area.

For an easier hike (completely flat and paved to within sight of the cache, park at 41º17.062N 81º32.331W. For the shortest cache-n-dash, park at 41º17.549N 81º32.741W.

The trail is flat and paved, perfect for the stroller set or a companion in a wheelchair. The cache itself is not wheelchair accessible. Permission is granted to enter private property east of the trail between latitude 41º17.359 and 41º17.427. This permission extends east to longitude 81º32.560; various "potential" hazards exist east of that line. The preferred entry to the private property is at 41º17.400N 81º32.600W.

Deer hunting is popular in the area, so don't wear a brown coat and antlers during deer season!

Cache is a clear round plastic container. Original contents included various trading cards, stickers, and small toys, plus some electronic goodies: a working Novell print server, a video multiplexer kit, and an FM stereo decoder kit.

Logbook replaced 2006-09-14.
