This cache is for Murray. Murray, a paramedic in the Toronto area and 2nd Lieutenant with 151 Lloyd Chadburn Squadron (Oshawa), passed away suddenly on November 13, 2003 at the age of 31.
The cache was originally planned as a 'memorial cache' to celebrate the completion
a GeoTeaming corporate team building event. During the course of the event,
one of our team members received a phone call informing him that his youngest
brother had suddenly passed away and that his presence, on the other side
of the country, was required immediately. During the event debriefing, the
team decided that the memorial cache should instead be placed in memory of
our friend's brother. Therefore, this cache is dedicated to our friend Michael,
and his brother Murray.
The cache is a 1 liter Lock & Lock container. The original contents consist
of a single personal item from each of the team members. The cache is located
in the Burnaby Foreshore Park less than a meter from the trail.
