You're looking for a half-gallon container painted to match the
surroundings. I can't remember just what exactly is in the cache,
but you should find a small radio, flashlight, batteries, some
playing cards, the usual stuff. Cache is located atop one of the
"domes", under a large tan colored boulder and under a few rocks.
This find should be very similar to the cache you were just at
(Religious Rock). I suggest looking at the spoiler pic, you don't
want to get out there and not find it!
Getting to the cache requires some sure footing, be careful (again,
it is easier than I make it out to be). Also, be sure to check out
the mess of fossils between the main dome and this dome. Some
people have made collection piles for easy viewing.
And...its about 2 miles of bumpy road from the S2 to
parking/trailhead. A high clearance car/truck/suv would be best,
but I saw a VW van at the parking coords, so just about anything
will get you there. Below are some waypoints to help you along;
however, the trail is well-beaten. I estimate that it is about a
5-mile hike, roundtrip. If anyone is interested in a .loc file with
these coords, let me know. Have fun!
