Cache is a cammo 50 cal ammo can hidden in some berries and
branches.
This cache is located near a county park/boat landing on the
east bank of the Willamette River in
a small community named after a much larger city in
Illinois, hence the cache name. The community is a "blink
and you'll miss it" kind of town, with no businesses of any
kind that had it's heyday long ago when barges loaded with
goods came down the river from Portland and returned with
crops, mostly wheat at that time. Later, when the railroads
became the primary mode of commerce, this town faded and
towns to the East, such as Shedd and Halsey came into the
limelight. The community is roughly halfway along a road of
the same name between Corvallis and Harrisburg, which makes
a great caching loop combined with either Highway 99 E or W.
The boat landing is on the north end of "town". Park in the
main area and walk north between the river and the road,
past the bathrooms, (seasonal,) past a unique kid's play
structure to an older unused picnic area.

over a year and has been all around Oregon for a year or so
before then. He's been staying with us for a couple of
weeks and my dogs seem to understand him. He and his owner
want him returned to the Bend area. Please help only if you
