This cache is designed to be a quick, easy, Travel Bug exchange located just off Interstate 40's Exit 64 in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
The cache is located in the Town of Black Mountain's newest Municipal park, which according to plans will one day sport a skate park. At present the only amenities are a walking trail, a picnic table, and trash can. The walking trail follows the Easternmost portion of the Swannanoa river. The cache is an ammo box painted flat brown which is chained to a tree due to the possibility of high water. The cache should be fairly simple to find. Please hide the cache back in its spot exactly the way you found it! If you don't have a Travel Bug to trade, please don't take the last remaining Travel Bug in the cache.
There are two alternatives for parking:
1. If you choose to take approximately a two tenths of a mile stroll along the Swannanoa river, and the access I recommend, park at 35° 36.879 N. 082° 19.072 W. and start your stroll on the gravelled path in the S.W. corner of the parking lot. Be sure to enjoy the view of the Great Craggy Mountains to the North from this spot!!!
2. If you choose to park within 120' of the cache, and make it a quickie, park at 35° 36.917 N. 082° 19.014 W. Please do not park behind the building as you might block traffic and compromise the cache.
