Geocache Description:

Travel back in time to when you were a kid and would walk on down to the creek for some fishing. Don't forget your pole and tackle box.

Park at N32 43.367 W083 02.939. Do not block anybody in or park so you will get blocked in. The shortest route is not the easiest. I would suggest walking down to the bridge then following the creek to the cache. Following that advice --- car to cache is less then 2/10ths of a mile.

The terrain was rated a 3 because this is GA swampland and the last approx 500 feet is off trail hiking. Long pants and bug repellant is in order. Summertime will require a bit more bush whacking then in the winter. If it has rained a lot lately you might want to wait for drier weather.

The difficulty was rated a 3 for 2 reasons. 1) Had to hide the cache good so the occasional muggler that makes his way back here won't find it. 2) In the summer the canopy will be so thick that it will be hard to get an accurate GPS reading.

This is a fishing lure exchange so be sure to bring your pole and tackle box. Once the cache is found exchange a lure and try your luck with something different. Please no sinkers, bobbers, plain hooks, plastic worms, or anything else that might make this lure box sticky or stinky.

We are starting to get a really nice collection of hand tied flies in the exchange. If you wish to exchange for some hand tied flies that is perfectly acceptable but please DO NOT TAKE THE ENTIRE CONTAINER. Remove one or two flies and leave the rest for your fellow cacher.

Please replace the cache exactly where you found it and completely cover it back up. Fishing might be better down by the bridge. Let us know if you catch anything.

This cache is a rubber maid box with a small fishing lure box inside. The lure box was originally filled with a bunch of brand new fishing lures. ENJOY !!
