Badlands Pitstop Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

ZingerMTB: With the change from a 3-box multi to a single box regular, I've decided to archive the "old" Badlands Pitstop and re-open it as another cache. So long!

Geocache Description:

A former 3-part multi on the Badlands Trail in the Bethel Bicycle area of Desoto National Forest, now down to 1-part, post-Katrina.

This cache is a pitstop with spare tubes, patch kits, tire levers, zip ties, pumps, and CO2 inflators, so this stuff is in the woods when a biker needs it. And of course, there are the usual small random cache items for people who are just out there for a treasure hunt. So take what you want, but leave the repair stuff – unless you’re fixing a bike. Trades for more and other bike parts are encouraged.

The cache is a 30 cal ammo can. It's camo painted, and fairly well hidden, at least to the casual eye. A cacher shouldn’t have much trouble finding it.

You can find maps to the bicycle trailhead and of the trails at (visit link) The cache is near the intersection of Badlands and Cutoff trails. Bring water, you’ll need it.

Fill out a WMA card at the trailhead check-in sign, because otherwise the state wildlife officers WILL write you a $110 ticket. If there are no cards (as usual), write down your name, address, phone, and car tag number on two slips of paper. Put one on your dash, drop the other in the box; when you leave, drop the one on your dash in the box as well.
