This is a puzzle cache placed in the Lindenwood Nature Preserve. This cache was placed with permission and cooperation from the Lindenwood Nature Preserve staff and the Fort Wayne Parks Department. Special thanks to Jennifer Bailey and Tony Acosta of the Fort Wayne Parks Department for helping out with this cache.
In order to keep this cache alive, there are some rules that MUST be followed. This is a nature preserve and the staff would like to preserve the nature (funny, huh?). So in keeping with that idea, here are some rules that must be followed without exception:
The preserve is only open on:
Thursday-Saturday, 9:00 am-6:00 pm
Sunday, 12:00-6:00 pm
The preserve is surrounded by 8-foot fencing with barbed wire around the top. Pretty stupid to try and jump if you ask me.
| No pets. |
No bikes or motorized vehicles. |
| Sorry but that is one of the rules. |
Self-explanatory if you ask me. |
Sign In
There is a podium at the front of the preserve and the staff would like all their visitors to sign in. Hey if we can show that Geocaching increases attendance in the parks, the the Fort Wayne Parks Department will support us that much more!!! So please sign in and let 'em know you are Geocaching!
STAY ON THE MARKED TRAILS.
This is an important one. So in keeping with it, all the clues/caches ARE ON THE TRAIL OR RIGHT NEXT TO IT!! The trails are marked and maps are available. If the GPSr is steering you off the path, then the accuracy is off due to the woods. STAY ON THE TRAILS!! Also, most of the coordinates for this cache will NOT lead to an actual cache. Most will lead to clues that have been integrated into their surroundings. A complete list of rules can be found at the Lindenwood Nature Preserve website.
In order to find this cache, you must first find The Lord's Maze: Are You Lost In the Woods, Yet?. The coordinates to this cache are located somewhere with that multi-stage cache. Be very observant and you will easily find the coordinates. Miss over the writings, and you will never find this cache.
Happy hunting!!!
Here area couple of other things to keep in mind when hunting this cache:
1. You WILL get dirty while hunting this cache. So if you think that the clue could not be there, guess again.
2. You will definitely need a flashlight. Even at high noon in the middle of summer without a cloud in the sky, bring a flashlight.
3. Bring the insect repellent. This is a nature preserve so many things live here unregulated. In other words, the mosquitoes will eat you alive in the summer!!
