Geocache Description:

This is the second in the series of caches identifying great spots to get away from it all.

This little treasure borders the South coast and the Southern Highlands. It’s a little known spot tucked away on the upper reaches of Lake Yarrunga and whilst the greater area is a very popular spot with tourists, very few people ever venture out to this location.
For the adventurous, this cache can be approached by a number of methods, the obvious being by road, others may choose to walk in or canoe up this popular waterway.
Whichever method you choose be sure to make a weekend of it. You can camp at the cache site or at the nearby Bendeela camping ground free of charge.

The road to this cache advises, “The road is not suitable for 2WD”. These signs placed by the NPWS are there to deter most users and I can confirm that the road is 2WD friendly, but please proceed with caution.

The cache itself is a 3ltr container full of all the usual stuff, including a logbook and pen.
