Geocache Description:

Trad. cache that is linked to I'On Vision cache & I'On Magnetic Perseverance multi cache. This is the beginning of your journey to the other caches. In order to complete Magnetic Perseverance, you'll need the clues from this cache and I'on Vision. It is better to start off here and follow the I'on Community Trail System which leads to all of the caches in a minimal amount of time. If you drive to each cache, it won't save you any time. The trail is a direct route to all of the caches.

Your journey begins at the station, but this train isn't going anywhere! This is a medium capacity cache. Take your eyes off your gps and look up. A flight of fancy will take you to your hide.

This cache is a trading place for items, which can be enjoyed by children. Toys and children get to "play" here between their journeys. Spend a little time here with your kids as you plan your walk today. The nearby picnic table is a good place to get out your gps, printouts, maps and other gear while the kids play.

This is not a very good cache for depositing travel bugs and high value trade items in since it gets muggled a lot. They I'On Magnetic Perseverance for a high security drop for your valued trackables.

The Westwalk I'On Trail will take you near all the locations involved in this multi and a total of five caches within I'On. A GPX route date file, map and trail guide can be downloaded. For more information on the I'On Community Trail System go to www.ioncommunity.com

This cache is linked to I'On Vision and I'On Magnetic Perseverance. If you want to complete I'On Magnetic Perseverance, you'll have to get the clues from I'On Vision and I'On Station.

I'On is a child friendly community so, if you choose to drive, please keep it under 10 MPH or have someone other than the driver looking at the gps!! All of the caches are within a 20 min. walk from each other. I'on has many walking trails and most of the caches require at least a short walk from the road. You'll have to back track to get back to your vehicle and often take a less direct route to the next cache by vehicle, so driving doesn't really save any time.

Don't forget to pick up the clue to "lock" on to the Magnetic perseverance Cache!

The I'on caches will be integrated into the I'on community trail system. All the caches are along the route of the I'on community which form a clover leaf reaching across the community from the amphitheater in it's exact center. Maps and guides to the trails can be downloaded from www.ioncommunity.com

You MUST log into the log book in order to get credit for this cache.

While in I'On try listening for the Geocaching annoucement on ION Radio, AM 1640.

I'On can be reached from Charleston on the CARTA # 40 bus.
