Geocache Description:

The coordinates for the beginning of this multi will bring you out to Shelmore Creek which is on the I'On Community Trail System.

This Cache was voted the best multi cache in South Carolina for 2007 and was originally developed with the assistance of Piston Head.

This cache is linked to I'On Station traditional cache and I'On Vision Traditional cache. In order to complete this cache you must first get the clues from the other cache in order to "lock" on this cache.

This cache is locked with a combination lock. The clues found at I'On Station are the first number of the combination (written in the inside of the lid); At I'On vision you'll find the second number of the combination, also written on the lid. Finally at the coordinates here, you'll find one of three engraved plastic tags with the coordinates for the lockbox and the final number for the combination. All three plastic tags are identical. You need find only one. Go to the coordinates on the tag, find the box, open it and become one of those who can say they persevered.

This hide use to be a bit of a turn "off". Now it exerts an attraction for refrigerator magnets. We prefer magnets with addresses on them that show where you've come from. We'll take other trade items, but space here is limited.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN ANY CONTAINERS NEAR THIS LOCATION NOT CLEARLY MARKED WITH GEOCACHING.COM!!! There is a black tag on the outside indicating you have found the correct container.

This is a nice place to rest and fill out the log book. The benches here are a good place to enjoy the end of your walk. This park is dssigned to evolve into a space evocative of a Gothic Cathedral. Architecture buffs will find the cache where the transept meets the choir, at one corner of the crossing. Note the chalice like vessel at the crossing and the names of the remembered found around. Eventually the trees wll be pruned up and grow together to form the roof of the cathedral like space.

Perseverance is planned as a launching spot for TB's heading to other new urbanist communities like I'On around the country.

You MUST log into the log book in order to get credit for this cache.

Please TRY to stick to theme of the cache, refrigerator magnets. If you don't have a magnet, leave something small as space is limited.

This cache is along the route of the Westwalk I'On, a 3.82 mile community walking trail for which a detailed PDF Guide, Maps and GPS route data can be downloaded. For more information on the I'On Village Walk Trail System, go to www.ioncommunity.com. The three previous locations you need to collect clues at are along the Westwalk Trail.

While in I'On tune to ION Radio 1640 AM and listen for the special announcement on Geocaching, or listen worldwide on www.ionradio1640.com.
