Pea Shooter is in the parking lot on your way to Monte Cache and Route 66 Overlook.
This is my first attempt at a smaller cache. Its pretty small, only room for a log so bring your own pen. Since it’s near the trailhead of the Three Gun Springs Trail I wanted to give it a shooting or firearm related name. It’s so small that it must be a ‘Pea Shooter.’ And I am so happy to tell you that its not under a rock!
The Pea Shooter is reached by traveling east along Route 66 from Albuquerque and turning off into the Monticello Subdivision. You will end up parking at an Open Space parking area that requires no fee. You are just about there .
