El Marichi

El
Mariachi is the first installment of the trilogy that consists of - "El
Mariachi", "Desperado", and "Once Upon a Time in
Mexico". Robert Rodriguez from Austin, TX, wrote, shot, and directed all
three. He is also the the writer and director of the "Spy Kids"
trilogy. This was the movie that helped launch his career.
He
sold his body to medical science to help raise enough money to shoot this film.
A whole whopping $7,000. That's right folks. This film was shot for the grand
sum of $7,000, and in two weeks time. The closest thing he had to a real actor
was a local news anchor man who plays a bartender in one scene. If you happen to
watch this film, be sure to watch it again with the director commentary
on.
Now on
to the cache. Like the movie this cache is cheaply done. It only consists of a
log book and a FTF signature item. It doesn't even have a writing utensil, so
you'll need to bring your own pen/pencil. It is hidden in a very small park in
the city of Justin off of the 156. Entrance is on the west side of 156. Please
make note that the cache is visible at the right angle. There is no need to
remove anything, tear anything apart, etc. Please decrypt the hint before doing
any damage to the area.
