Geocache Description:

Once you reach the town of Elk Park. You will see signs for Elk River Falls. One way in is across from the BP station in town. Another way is to turn at Coordinates
N 36 09.471 W 081 58.855 and follow the signs from the turn.This is a regular cache in a gallon container! It is a short hike to the cache but there are several steps involved! Please bring a trash bag and cache in trash out, this beautiful area needs alot of help!

I truly love waterfalls they are one of the most peaceful things in nature. I wanted to place a cache here because this particular set of falls have always been important in my life. I wrote the following poem, with placing this cache in mind!

Waterfall Magic

When I need a moment to contemplate life
I find a calm place, sunny and bright.

My favorite place, I choose to be
is beside a waterfall, my thoughts with me.

The sound of water roars near my head
helps nourish my soul, keeps my heart fed.

Thoughts and feeling escape my mind
they fill the air, life's journey defined.

What better place to consider the path I walk
than where nature made it possible, for water to talk.

The whitewater flows, cascades over stones
The calm overtakes me, straight to the bones.

The sheer power of water, rumbling nearby
makes my heart happy, makes my soul fly.

My life and my thoughts always seem clear
when waterfalls rumble, where I can hear.

I am one with nature, at that moment in time
what more could I ask for,the world is mine.

It is time to leave, the sound fades away
but more falls await me, another day.

There is a bonus cache for this one. The "rebirth" cache can only be found by finding the coordinates in the lid of this cache. However,the "rebirth" cache does have it's own log page. I hope you enjoy these falls.
