EVENT CACHE ON SATUTDAY FEBRUARY 28 2004
FROM 10:00 AM TILL??
Please join us for a Yuma AZ. area event cache to be held at the
boat ramp and picnic area at Mittry Lake. The above coordinates
will get you there. Take Laguna Dam Rd. (Ave 7E) north off of
Hwy. 95 (16th St.) Appox. 1.5 mi. from end of the pavement.
Grills are available, and we will have some briquettes.
Bathrooms are also. Along with fishing.
We will have drinking water in limited supply.
So bring your picnic goodies and join us.
There are some nice caches in the area within 1.5 miles and we
plan on planting a few more, some just for the event.
The coffee pot will always be on, but bring your own cup.
We are looking forward to meeting fellow cachers.
We have a questionnaire that we would like to have filled out,
you do not have to sign it.
Planned Activities:
This one I borrowed from the Tucson bunch.
This is the spot:
Not a contest, just an interesting exercise
where everyone will be given a marker and a set of coordinates.
You place the marker at the spot where your GPS indicates the
coordinates are located. This put things in a perspective as to
how you can get a different location for a cache.
Travel Bug Exchange. Bring a travel bug that you would like to exchange, some cacher may be able to help it along.
COMMEMORATIVE CACHE: Bring a item to place in this special cache.
There will be a drawing of all contributors to see who will get to hide the cache.
Hopefully in the Yuma area. Please no KFC towelettes, mustard packs, motel shampoo or soap.
We will supply a 50 Cal. ammo box, log book, pen and pencils.
More to come I hope.
