Geocache Description:

This is a great cache hunt to do with kids. The first part is interesting and educational and the hike is not too difficult for kids.

THE HOW-TO-GET-THE-INTERMEDIATE-WAYPOINT GETS A LITTLE VERBOSE BECAUSE THE SCULPTURE KEPT CHANGING...MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT SCULPTURE. SOMETHING FISHY ABOUT IT.

The coordinates above are for the parking lot.
Walk around and enjoy this interesting and informative area while you are looking for the clues. The first clue is at the House that came by mail. Cross the street to check it out. As you approach it you will see a sign that has a date on it. Add the digits in that date to each other and you will get a two digit number. Add those two digits together and the answer you get is “A”

Next find the Poop Recycler (or more delicately, "composting toilet") and count the posts supporting the roof. Add 1 to this number and you have “B”.

Now is time for art appreciation. Past SEED and back from EMERGING we find LIFE. How many heads are lifted in celebration of life? Twice this plus 2 gives you "C".

Alas!!! "LIFE" has departed !!! But!!!! In the art section there is a sculpture that includes a number of salmon figures. How many salmon are touching the seal? Cube that number and you have "C"

Would you believe the Salmon have swum away to spawn in private ???

Just say "NO" in German and take 1 away for "C"

If you have trouble finding these spots, The Smiling Dog might answer your questions. Does life ever stand still??? The Smiling Dog has departed to be oh so rapidly replaced by Three Cats...I am sure they will be equally as helpful!!

The wheel turns again !!!!! The 3Cats have gone feral and "BASIL" a pan-asian restaurant has taken over. Excellent food!!!! soon there will be a coffee shop also.

If you are stuck..the Half Link can supply the missing link.We will make sure they have the info to help if you get stumped.!!!

Apply A B and C as indicated and you have the second set of coordinates :

N 48 02.ABC
W 122 27.742

Which will take you, in a northerly direction via winding country roads, to the next parking spot.

Here you will find a micro cache with the final coordinates well hidden in an obvious spot. But you will need a sign ! A lightning bolt? Not lightning but a bolt none the less. Now you are ready for a walk in the woods.

The final cache location is in a clear area that should allow you to get a good fix.
Look for a horizontal hemlock.

The cache is an ammo box containing when hidden: 49.7 grams of Columbian Supremo, a Panama Keychain, girls fancy socks with roses, hippie bead and seed necklace, Puget Sound Pilots coffee mug, bird feeder book, musical egg, Outdoor Life knife, bean bag frog, Leather luggage tag, AND Leaping Lizard Travel Bug

Allow yourself plenty of time to see the sights and figure the clues. These websites will give you some info to impress the kids if you read them before you go!
