Kaytee's Cache is located along the Piedmont Trail on Greensboro's Lake Brandt. It is in easy reach of the hiker who starts on the Lake Brandt Road end of the trail.
The Piedmont Trail starts at Strawberry Road, in a kudzu field, and winds 3.0 miles through beautiful woodlands to end at a small parking area just below the dam on Lake Brandt Road.
The trail has a lot of hikers, runners, and people walking their dogs; but bicycles are not allowed on this trail.
Named for Sir Fenwick's Black Lab......Kaytee.
This is Kaytee's favorite trail because of its close proximity to the water and the wide variety of wildlife found along the trail. The area is home to many squirrels, rabbits, deer, wild turkeys and a wide variety of birds.
The cache will be found approximately 1 mile from the Lake Brandt Road parking area or 2 miles from the Strawberry Road parking area. Once leaving the trail, you will have to climb over, or go around a lot of fallen trees before getting to the cache area.
