Geocache Description:

The cache is located near a road with great views over towards Kinmel Bay, Rhyl and The Irish Sea. On a clear day you can see the Wind Turbine Farm which is 5 miles off the coast of Prestatyn and the Gas Platform which is in Morecombe Bay, about 40/50 miles away.

The cache is in a Green Ammo Box and there is the usual goodies in the cache and there may be some special bugs in there too.

As well as being a regular cache this is also the start and finish for the travel bug Cannon Ball Run. If there is a Bug in this cache, take a look at the bug history and see if it is waiting to start the race. If it is, then Grab it.

So what is the CannonBall Run. Well some of you may have seen the films, but basically it is the last of the great road races and originated in America where they used to race from one side of the country to the other.

Events are still held today (although illegal) and one starts in London each year and goes to Monte Carlo via Paris.

As a more legal option, we are going to Race Travel bugs across Europe and back again, with a small prize for the winner. Each bug must travel by a predetermined route and have a photo taken at the final destination before returning home. Once all bugs are back, then a new race will be started to a different location.
