Geocache Description:

An easy hike of less than .30 mile (one way) on Grassy Dam Trail in Dupont State Forest will lead you to this cache.

The parking location is the same as Old and Abandoned Pool, Beaver Dam, Chunk Change, and Spring Cache.

Directions: Turn off of Crab Creek road onto Dupont road, from Dupont Road Turn onto Sky Valley road, continue on Sky Valley Road until you reach the parking area at coordinates N35 12.359 W082 34.812. Go behind the gate to the Grassy Dam Trail Trailhead. Follow the trail Grassy Dam Trail and your GPS should lead you to the cache location on the right side of the trail.

The cache is well hidden and is less than 20 feet of the right side of the trail. The container is about 6 inches high and 3 inches wide with a black screw on cap. It is covered with bark and sticks. The cache contains exchangeable trade items. We were able to walk away form the cache location and follow the GPS back to the cache.

On the opposite side of the trail about 100 feet away is an interesting area. The remains of an old fold up bed, a couple of bed springs, roofing shingles, and other items can be spotted from the trail.

Please remember that animals have a much keener sense of smell than we humans. Please do not place food, candy, gum, or any other scented items such as soaps, candles or "wipes" in the cache, as animals often mistake these items as food, and will destroy the cache container trying to get to it. Also, please hide the cache container so it is not visible, so that other geocachers may enjoy the hunt. - Thanks
