Geocache Description:

This cache is one left over from my Eisenhower Observation Tower Cache, which was forcibly retired in October 2003 by the SA Parks and Rec folks.

This cache container is left over from a previous cache that we'd placed. It was the second cache ever placed in San Antonio, right after Airplane Spot. We were sorry to see it go, but can reuse the container and its contents, in the hopes of geo-recycling!

This cache had reached a pretty sad state of disrepair before its final retirement, so its contents are not great, though my wife, sun-m00n-starz, did throw out the obvious trash, and place a new logbook. Coordinates are pretty accurate, though we were only able to get ~25 foot accuracy because of cloud cover. Location should be obvious to anyone who's done more than a handful of caches.

The locations are within or near Blanco State Park, and use fees apply as with all Texas State Parks. Just get the annual State Parks Pass, it's worth it for all geocachers. We had a great time camping in this little park, and got to meet The GeoClan, who got to find it first and make sure that my coordinates were correct. If you think about it, bring something to feed the loud and very insistent geese. Be sure to drive down by the dam at the far end and enjoy the calming effect of the waterfall sound.

For the first location, you need to go to the listed coordinates, which are at a single lane bridge which is no longer in use at the base of a dam. You need to get these 2 pieces of information:
A = # of angled concrete supports on the front of the dam, counting both ends (Clue: odd number, evenly divisible by 3)
B = number of round supports holding up the presently used bridge (same clue as A, but different number)

Now, do a little bit of math:
E = A - 3
F = B - 9
G = (A x 3) - 1
H = A - B + 1
I = A x 2

Finally, plug those numbers in here:

N E 05.6FF W G H.2I

You should park by the bathrooms near the camping area to give you the straightest shot toward the cache. There are two trails heading toward the cache, and you should take the high trail instead of the river trail. I'm not trying to spoil the cache location, but want to avoid as much erosion as possible on the hill by keeping you from climbing up.
