While Red and I where out and about geocaching, we where parked and reading the map for items of interest. While we where parked, Red happened to notice this marker sitting on the cutbank above the road. We had never seen anything like it before so I checked it out and found a very interesting Oregon Trail Marker. We where wondering if anyone has seen these before anywhere. I will include a photo for your viewing.
The above numbers will take you to a parking area / wide spot.
There is a little cubbyhole made just for us, without them even knowing anything like our game would ever exist. A plaque is missing from the marker so I have no more information to pass along at this time.
This is a sign the logbook only type cache. You will find other people besides geocachers signing the logbook and even leaving signed sheets of paper. Please respect their logs as you would a fellow cacher. I included the logsheets we found at the location in the cache box and they make interesting reading. Glance through them if you so choose.
