This cache is very conveniently placed if you arrive or depart from Jhb International Airport. Local geocachers could also easily pick up or drop off travel bugs.
This cache is part of a growing international series of "Bug Hotels". The intent is to provide a "cache & dash" opportunity to exchange or drop off TBs to help them on their way to whatever goal they may have.
What to do if you find this Travel Bug Hotel?
Picking up a TB:
If you do pick up a Travel Bug, be sure to follow the guidelines on the tracking of Travel Bugs. Refer to (visit link) for more information.
Dropping off a TB:
Please record the name and objective of any Travel Bugs that you leave here, both in the bag with the bug and in the logbook. (What works very well is to put a printout of the Travel Bug website in the bag with the Travel Bug.)
Remember:
- Try to update this site and the travel bug site as quickly as possible to avoid other disappointed visitors.
- If you return for a second visit to deposit more bugs, please post the visit (and the bug) as a "note" not a "find".
- Security is your responsibility - assure yourself of the safety of any particular item before carrying it. On behalf of those that have put much time, effort and money into creating Travel Bugs, we would ask that you take care of our creations.
Location:
- It is within walking distance from the main departures and arrivals buildings. You wil even be able to take your luggage trolley with if you want (although it will be easier to leave it with a friend).
- To find the cache and be back at the main building will probably take about twenty minutes.
Be careful:
Please do not ask the security staff you encounter along the way for directions to the cache. The cache is fairly out of sight, but please do make sure that nobody is looking when you access the cache.Covering the cache properly at the end of your visit is crucial to prevent it from being found accidentally.
