Concrete Forest Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: From the guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to ensure it is in proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.), or posts a Needs Maintenance log. Temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have addressed the problem. You are permitted a reasonable amount of time – generally up to 4 weeks – in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

Unfortunately, I have no evidence that the cache owner is willing to undertake this responsibility and thus I am archiving the cache.

If the cache owner decides to undertake maintenance, I can re-review the cache and if it meets current guidelines, I can un-archive it. Alternatively, perhaps someone else would like to assume responsibility. With archival, the area becomes open to a new cache.

Thank you for your understanding and for your contributions to Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

Multi stage cache located in Camarillo Regional Park off a trail/dirt road.

The name "Concrete Forest" evokes images of urban sprawl and frantic activity. But not to worry, this is actually in a very serene and natural setting.  The coordinates for the first part will place you in the middle of an old abandoned dairy.  This area is used for paintball games sometimes so it may be difficult to access during those times. Cache is a large nut container and can be reached  by driving or walking on one of the dirt roads in the park.

Note: Camarillo Regional Park has a gate which is normally shut during the week and sometimes on weekends.  It is open when model airplane and boating hobbyists are present.  If the gate is open and you drive in, leave a note on the end of the gate, telling when you went in and what you are driving, so that if someone comes along to lock it, they will know that you will be out soon. Be sure to remove the note when you leave.

You can park outside the gate legally from 7AM to 7PM and walk in.  It is a flat 1.9 mile round trip from the gate to both parts of the cache and back.  (Keep to the right so you will be on the dirt road south of the model airplane field on your way to part one.  On the way back from the final location, you can take the dirt road north of the field then continue west back to the gate.)

Be careful - bees sometimes are near this location.
