One of several to come "Jeep Caches" located in SW Dade County. This cache will require a modified 4x4 to access or tall boots.
This is my first in a series of caches geared to Jeepers and other 4x4 enthusiasts. Location is in a commonly traveled area for Jeeps, modified 4x4's and ATV's. It is on private property with the owner's permission.
Original contents include:
Jeep "offroader" Travel Bug
10 Stink Bomb Bags
8pk of crayons
Party Popper
Ball
Cat Man Sticker
Fire Truck
Howard Dean Pin
Wendy’s Keychain
Stink Bombs
Light up Yoyo
Mini deck of Cards
Pine Cone
Shell
Ok so to get there here are my recommendations:
at least 2 4x4's (to help you if you get stuck)
At least 31" Tires
Tow Strap or Winch
Cell Phone (in case you both get stuck and need help)
So here is the reality ... I have seen several stock Jeeps make it that far and I have even seen several other small stock 4x4's make it to this spot. It is very possible to make it there with a stock 4x4 without much of a problem. The ground is firm almost all the way (mud starts within feet of the cache) But you should not attempt this cache without another 4x4 there to back you up. I do consider a 4x4 mandatory.
You can get to the entrance of the trail with a car and hike the rest if you want. Its not that bad but I would bring shoes you do not care much for.
As for getting there. You can not get there via Krome Avenue. More is included in the spoiler.
NOTE: Please include the type of vehicle you attempted this cache in ...
