Dustystar initially placed this cache on 18 Feb 2004. It was adopted by CachingGrandpa on 19 Jan 2014 and then solid-rock-seekwells on 21 Apr 2015. The description below is retained in its original form.
Traditional cache to use your GPS and the given coords to find. No riddles to solve; no puzzles to work; no mountains to climb; no rivers to cross; no postage stamp sized container to hide in little places, at least, not this time.
The cache is placed with permission on public ground regulated by the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers. Feel free to hike around and explore this seldom used area. The view from the spillway is awesome. (No motorized vehicles)
There is fairly obvious parking in a one car parking lot. Ranger Todd says the “No Parking” sign nearby means do NOT block the gate – as he patted his ticket book with that evil grin on his face.
Rookies and visitors – Ranger Todd is very pro-geocaching and encourages use of this land. As long as you follow the park regulations, only his grin is evil.
Veterans – you might recognize something about this cache.
