Geocache Description:

The name of the cache is a slight play on the name of the park in which it is placed and the street which provides access. This 25 acre parcel of land was purchased from Scott Township in order to establish and maintain green space for future generations to relax and play. Original plans for a soccer field were scrapped. Mt. Lebanon subsequently designated this land as a trail park, with no current plan for further development. Some nice trails have been made by the Public Works crews. Although you can use them to get close, you will have to leave the trails to find both stages. This is a nice place to come and escape “Suburbia” for a while.

Continuing with the name play, this cache has numerous ties to the number two. First, it is a two-stage cache. Second, the “To Seattle and Beyond” geocoin launched from this site has two sets of doubles in its tracking number. Third, excluding the coin and the other TB, all the trading items were placed in as pairs (which can be separated). Fourth, it will most likely be approved two days before the second birthday of my sister’s second child (Happy Birthday, R!) Maybe I should have called this Noah’s Ark?

Stage one is a circular plastic container. Stage two is my favorite type of cache container. The original contents include: 2 badge stickers, 2 whistles, 2 logo pencils, 2 key chains, 2 rolls of pennies, 2 candles, 2 boxes of chalk, 2 sets of beads, 2 pen lights, 2 drink chips, 2 TB, and 2 tennis balls (for the four-legged cachers!) There is a 1st Place blue ribbon for the FTF.

Parking coordinates are N40 23.830, W80 03.248. Access via Banksville Road (SR 0019) to Helen Drive, then left. Best of Luck and Happy Hunting!
