Tip of the Island Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Big C, the Curly One & the Little Man: We've decided not to re-hide this one at this time. It is still a great spot to visit and the cache lasted just about 2 years..far longer than we thought it would. Maybe we'll hide something smaller there soon. In the meantime be sure to visit Parker River Virtual by Team Spoonhead and Snowy Owl by Goldfinch593. Thanks everyone!!

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Sandy Point Reservation. Sandy Point Reservation is a state park located on the extreme southern tip of Plum Island. It is not part of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, although you do have to drive, walk or bike through the refuge to get to it. This is our favorite place to come during any season. There is a five dollar per car admission fee. While you are here you can visit Parker River Virtual, by Team Spoonhead.

The cache is in a very high traffic area during warmer weather. You should be very discreet when finding and re-hiding the cache. In fact you might have to wait a few minutes for people to leave. If you are waiting for people to leave you can explore the beach or walk up the hill to an overlook which really has a nice view. There is no need to bushwack or disturb any plants or animals to get to it. The only thing you should do is replace the rocks exactly as you found them, otherwise it could be spotted. Sorry, no pets allowed. Hours are sunrise to sunset.
