Much of the time there is great aircraft viewing from this spot. Many landings and departures. The cache surroundings, unfortunately, are less uplifting. However, this area deserves a cache! Touchdown II is the second cache with the name to be placed in the vicinity. It is an easy find since a more difficult one would attract too much attention. Besides, don't you want to watch the planes?
The new cache is small and not as unique as the original.
Step 1. Park at [N39 09.740 W76 39.803] unless you walk or bike in via the BWI Trail.
Step 2. Go to the listed coordinates to find a two digit number (XY).
Step 3. Treat XY as decimal minutes and ADD as shown:
[N39 09.644 + .0XY W76 39.743 + .0XY]
Step 4. Go to the location calculated in Step 3. You should be at the edge of the woods, NEAR the cache, but NOT AT it. At this point the GPSr is no longer needed.
Step 5. Follow the fallen tree, the one pointing away from you, until you reach the standing tree. Look for the cache at the intersection. If you feel conspicuous, perhaps you might want to move somewhere else to sign the log. Please rehide so the cache is well covered.
